The city industry online information system (Simonik) is launched for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Simonik was as a product marketing application launched by the city government of Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This application is one of the efforts to foster and manage MSMEs.
“Through this application, MSME players will be recorded and connected to the market in the online network. So they can market their products with integrated business actors,” said the Acting Head of the Pangkalpinang City Cooperative, MSME and Trade Office Andika Pratama (26/12/2022).
Reported by antaranews.com, Andika explained that innovation through the Simonik application aims to help MSMEs in Pangkalpinang City. The Simonik application can contain all industrial data, industrial areas, MSME developments, market opportunities, and industrial technology development. This application is expected to summarize the latest database of MSMEs in Pangkalpinang.
“This application can later be used by tourists who are looking for what needs are in Pangkalpinang. Starting from culinary, handicrafts to souvenirs, everything is in the Simonik application,” he added.
Pangkalpinang City PKK Activator Team Chairperson Monica Haprinda said that the City Government would continue to innovate to create programs for the development of MSMEs in Pangkalpinang City. One of them is through the Simonik application breakthrough.
“This application is expected to help the MSME segment in Pangkalpinang City to continue to develop and network both between buyers and business people,” said Monica.
In addition to launching the Simonik application, the Pangkalpinang City Government is also helping MSMEs through exhibitions. One of this effort is with the Food Millennial Festival. This festival will be held from 26 December 2022 in the Merdeka Square area.
“We hope that the various efforts that have been made by the government so far will be able to motivate MSME actors to further develop,” explained Monica.
