Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan visited two micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province. The visit that was held on January 7 2023, was intended as a review of MSMEs. Based on the visit, Zulkifli Hasan invited all MSMEs to continue developing their businesses.
“The government continues to support and facilitate SMEs so that they are able to upgrade and gain wider marketing access, such as marketing through modern retail and marketplaces, even to the export market,” he said in a statement (8/1/2023).
According to wartaekonomi.co.id, during the hearing, Zulkifli Hasan said the Ministry of Trade would work together with financial institutions. This synergy is expected to widen MSME capital so that it can develop more.
“The Ministry of Trade will cooperate with national banks to help finance MSMEs through the People’s Business Credit (KUR) program. The Ministry of Trade has also established communication with the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI). So that it can further optimize MSME export financing,” said Zulkifli Hasan.
The first MSME visited was Shamiya which produces frozen fried bananas. This UMKM is located on Jl. Pagar Alam, Bandar Lampung. The second UMKM visited was Madu Al Ghozi on Jl. Soekarno Hatta. This MSME is a production house that makes a variety of honey.
During his visit, Zulkifli Hasan was accompanied by Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade Suhanto, Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade Budi Santoso, and Plt. Director General of Domestic Trade from the Ministry of Trade Kasan.
