Provincial Government Will Expand the MSME Market in 2023

The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta is expanding the market and skills of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This is realized through holding bazaars and training during 2023.

“We have finished drafting strategic activities that are expected to make MSMEs rise. This design also encourages economic growth in Jakarta,” said Head of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises of DKI Office Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo in Jakarta (30 /01/2023).

According to antaranews.com, Elisabeth explained that this effort was carried out by her party by holding a bazaar at the city or district level. She also explained that they had prepared various trainings. Among them are entrepreneurship training and assistance in making halal certification, intellectual property rights, packaging design and making distribution permits for packaged food.

“The aim of this bazaar is to expand access to marketing and encourage buying and selling of local products. Let’s support MSMEs and Jakarta’s economic activities so that they grow and are proud to use local products,” she said.

Elisabeth added that there is also technical skills training for small and medium industries. Fields that can be taken are culinary, craft and fashion. She targeted 9,780 trainees in the culinary field, 1,680 participants in the craft sector and 1,705 participants in the fashion sector.

In addition to MSME players, her party also opened training for all DKI Jakarta residents. Such as training on the basics of cooperatives, training on human resource development (HRD) strategies, and cooperative business.

“So it is hoped that the MSME participants that we include can penetrate the national market. So they can move to the global level. And their products are liked and are beneficial to the community,” she said.
