Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) can learn more about food at the ‘NYAMpireun’ event. This event is aimed at culinary MSME partners of Tokopedia from Bandung, West Java. The event, which was held at Mr Roastman Experience Bandung, presented celebrity chef Juna Rorimpandey as the mentor.
“The appeal of food must not only be beautiful in appearance, but also delicious and nutritious. So that the food has value for those who enjoy it. Food that has this value will definitely attract people’s attention. It will also be easier to market, especially during Ramadan,” said Chef Juna in a written statement (13/3/2023).
According to food.detik.com, The ‘NYAMpireun’ event is part of Tokopedia NYAM! campaign. Head of Tokopedia’s Corporate Affairs Department Ekhel Chandra Wijaya said that Tokopedia continues to intensify Hyperlocal initiatives throughout Indonesia. One of them is within Bandung City.
“The activity involving Tokopedia NYAM! sellers from Bandung aim to share knowledge about food from well-known chefs. As well as education on how to sell food as well as insight into food markets ahead of Ramadan,” he said.
Ekhel also explained that the number of Tokopedia NYAM! in West Java Province has more than doubled. In addition, the number of sellers joining has more than doubled in the January-February 2023 period compared to two years ago.
Tokopedia also presents a series of other Hyperlocal initiative derivative programs. Starting from Kumpulan Toko Pilihan (KTP), Waktu Indonesia Belanja (WIB), hingga Dilayani Tokopedia.
“Tokopedia noted that the growth in the number of sellers participating in the WIB campaign in West Java province in January-February 2023 increased by more than 1.5 times. The number of transactions for the WIB campaign almost doubled compared to the same period in 2022. Meanwhile, the number of sellers participating in the campaign WIB in the city of Bandung increased by almost 1.5x in the January-February 2023 period compared to the same period in 2022,” he explained.
