BRI invites micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) Brilianpreneur alumi to take part in New York (NY) NOW 2023. They will go through some stages, such as curation. After that, they will be going to the event held in August 2023 (16/03/2023).
According to tempo.co, BRI’s participation in the event reflects BRI’s commitment to continue assisting MSMEs. BRI hopes that MSMEs can develop to penetrate the international market.
“This is a form of BRI’s commitment to Indonesian MSMEs so that they can continue to expand their market to the global market.” said BRI Small & Medium Business Director Amam Sukriyanto.
Amam explained that In the early stages, there will be 25 Craft MSMEs. They were selected to be included in the curation stage. This stage was carried out at the Brilliant Center, BRI Jakarta on March 8 2023. This activity presented curator Jennifer Isaacson from the United States.
“Today we are curating with Jennifer Isaacson as an effort to get participants who deserve to be included in NY NOW 2023. MSMEs can consult directly with Jennifer regarding their products and suitability with US market trends,” continued Amam.
Jennifer gave a seminar to prepare MSMEs to face key buyers. Among them are Anthropologie, Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Bloomingdales, Homegoods, Target, Walmart, and Urban Outfitters. These names are looking for suppliers of the latest products.
BRI NY NOW 2023
BRI’s participation in NY NOW 2023 is one of a series of road to UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENUER 2023. So, BRI is optimistic that the Brilianpreneur Alumni products that pass the curation can compete with other products out there.
The products displayed by 25 SMEs during the curation included Home Decor & Craft and Accessories & Beauty. According to Amam, MSMEs are ready to present uniqueness, quality and the story behind the product. Not only that, the raw materials used are environmentally friendly and the production supports the empowerment of women and society.
