PT Pertamina supports the development of Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the Interior and Craft Exhibition (ICRAFT) 2023. The exhibition was held in Jakarta from 5 to 9 April 2023.
Reported by antaranews.com, Pertamina’s VP Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso mentioned several names of MSMEs involved in this exhibition. These SMEs are Faiza Embroidery, Haluan Bali, Batik Muria, Kraton Leather, Rumah BUMN (RB) Klungkung and RB Palangka Raya. He conveyed this in a statement in Jakarta (09/04/2023).
“The presence of ICRAFT 2023 is a momentum for the revival of Indonesian crafts in the digital economy era. As well as an effort to expand market access,” said Fadjar.
ICRAFT 2023 theme is “Indonesian Craft in the Digital Economy Era”. This exhibition is expected to encourage MSMEs to further develop their marketing digitalization system. So that it can increase sales profit, as well as market products to international markets.
According to Fadjar, MSMEs are required to innovate products and balance conventional and online marketing. One of them is by utilizing social media.
“Besides being cheap and not having to have special expertise in carrying out the initial initiation. Social media is considered capable of reaching consumers widely,” he said.

Batik Muria admits that appearing at ICRAFT during Ramadhan, is an encouragement to promote the Kudus written batik product. As one of Pertamina’s assisted MSMEs, they want to promote their batik products as traditional works of art with Islamic history messages.
“Some of the batik motifs tell stories about the spread of Islam by Sunans, the Menara Kudus Mosque, or the Bulusan motif. Which tells of Sunan Muria’s rebuke to a group of farmers who are still cultivating crops when Maghrib prayers arrive,” explained Dimas Andre Santoso, owner of Batik Muria.
Another Pertamina-assisted MSME, Kraton Leather exhibited leather craft products made by themselves. Craft products can be designed according to the wishes and needs of consumers. There is also Rumah BUMN Palangkaraya which offers accessories made from natural stone.
Going forward, Pertamina will be more active in encouraging the growth of the MSME business so that it becomes the pride of Indonesia.
“After participating in the exhibition, we hoped it can increase and develop the market for products made by Indonesia. Especially crafts, which are MSME products, that are classified as having very positive business potential. Both domestically and abroad,” he explained.
