The ASEAN Summit 2023 is an international event that is currently being highlighted. This international event which was held in Labuan Bajo, NTT also opened the gates of international markets. Especially for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). To encourage this, the Ministry of SOEs held the SME’s HUB ASEAN Summit.
“MSMEs is the spearhead of our economic foundation. However, we can’t let them go on their own. Ministry of SOEs Focus on synergy between ministries and Regional Governments for Financing, Development and Markets. Funding alone is not enough without assistance, and this is proof of our assistance,” said SOE Minister Erick Thohir at Marina Labuan Bajo Waterfront (10/5/2023).
According to liputan6.com, One form of encouragement from the Ministry of BUMN is the presence of e-catalogs and the Rice BUMN application. This encouragement is also expected to continue market preparation.
“Our next task is to prepare the market. One of the supports in the form of market readiness is the presence of UMKM Rice. Aside from being a marketplace, it is also an e-catalog,” he added.
Fostered MSMEs
One of the MSMEs that attended came from MIND ID. This group is a Mining Industry Holding in Indonesia, with members such as PT Antam Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, and PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Inalum. The MIND ID Group is here to bring more than 20 MSME products fostered by the food and beverage sector.
Erick also revealed that the fostered MSME products actually had good quality and were able to compete with other products. He conveyed this during a visit to a stand belonging to the MIND ID group.
“Our MSME products have very extraordinary quality,” said Erick.
Meanwhile, the Head of the MIND ID Institutional Relations Division, Selly Adriatika, also gave her response. She revealed that the MIND ID Group’s commitment is not only to provide funding, but also with assistance. It aims to provide the right education to develop business and market expansion.
