Business commitment or business matching funding during the Meseuraya Festival reached IDR 8.6 billion. This figure was recorded by Bank Indonesia (BI) Aceh Province for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Aceh.
“Alhamdulillah, the participation of Islamic banking in Aceh during this event, there was a business matching financing for MSMEs. With a total value of IDR 8.6 billion,” said the Head of Bank Indonesia Aceh Province Representative Rony Widijarto (16/07/2023).
According to antaranews.com, Rony said the financing business matching was carried out between Aceh MSME players and four banks. These four banks are Bank Aceh Syariah, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), BPTPN Syariah and Bukopin Syariah.
Meseuraya Festival
BI is holding the 2023 Meseuraya Festival in order to expand the reach of the MSME market in Aceh. This goal is expected to encourage economic growth through MSME creative products. Ranging from craft products, fashion, to culinary.
“This is a proud moment, and gives us a sense of optimism. During the event, a sales turnover of IDR 800 million has been achieved and it is still running. This is only at the Meseuraya Festival, not to mention the Aceh Culinary Festival,” said Rony.
The festival, which lasted for three days, managed to bring in many visitors. Until Sunday afternoon, the Meseuraya Festival had managed to bring in around 7,500 visitors. Rony sees the high enthusiasm from visitors as an opportunity for MSMEs to develop their businesses.
The Meseuraya Festival also collaborates with the Aceh Culinary Festival. This collaboration was organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, as well as the Aceh Tourism and Culture Office. This event provided 72 MSME outlets at the Meseuraya Festival, and 11 archipelago MSME at the Aceh Culinary Festival. In addition, this collaboration also resulted in a cooperation agreement for halal certification process for MSMEs in Aceh.
“Currently, as many as 5,491 MSMEs in Aceh have realized the submission of halal certification,” he added.
